England’s largest tidal estuary at The Wash is a paradise for wildfowl and bird-watchers whilst a short boat trip to see Common Seals is a fascinating spectacle.
The enchanting wetlands of The Broads provide access to another unique set of wildlife credentials, where a maze of tranquil waterways is home to a myriad of colourful birds, insects and plants.

Welcome to Atlantic Coast Holiday Park online, updating you on the latest information from across the park.
Near the coastline of St. Ives Bay and fringed by dunes, Atlantic Coast Park is only minutes away from the sands of Gwithian Beach, which is popular with surfers and families alike. Head in the other direction and you'll find St. Ives itself, which offers seafood restaurants and the Tate Gallery. On-site there's a shop selling freshly-baked bread, a takeaway serving hot food twice daily and a modern toilet and shower block (with disabled facilities). Fresh water taps and waste drain are available on each pitch. A bus to St. Ives departs from reception. Site also offers Wi-Fi.
If you're looking for a site that offers direct access to sandy dunes and the delights of Gwithian Beach, then you'll want to head for Atlantic Coast Holiday Park, which offers both touring pitches and static caravans to hire or buy.
The touring area has its own dedicated field and is shielded from coastal breezes by the tall sand dunes that form the backdrop to the site. Serviced pitches with 16A electric hook-ups. Fresh water taps and waste drain are available on each pitch. While the toilet and shower block has recently been refurbished. Also on-site is a laundry room and a well-stocked shop offering all your camping basics.
The touring area is an ideal base for all lovers of the sea and is popular with surfers, but the site also offers a wide range of contemporary holiday homes. These are available in Bronze, Silver and Gold grades, with the poshest versions having their own verandas, double glazing, central heating and TV and DVD systems. With beds made up on your arrival and even towels provided, it's an easy way to visit the site.
Cornwall is famed for its lively cultural attractions and the towns of Hayle and St. Ives are nearby and often have some festival or special event on during the summer months. From flower shows to Rio-style carnivals and steam rallies, there's usually something going on in the peak season.
The site is also a handy base to visit some of Cornwalls more famous tourist attractions, such as Land's End. Or you could head over to the delights of the Lizard Peninsula, one of the UK's most southly points (and famed for the first radio broadcasts across the Atlantic).
If this all sounds like hard work, you could just potter around the many cafes, tea shops, restaurants and pubs that are around the area. And if you don't fancy leaving the site at all, there's also a shop serving freshly-baked bread and takeaway food. It also stocks newspapers and most daily essential items. -
