Solidly in the #1 spot with 225,849 followers, the irony is either sweet or sour depending on how you view the top ranking of the Facebook CEO in newly competitive Google Plus. Zuck's profile says ''I make things''. Yes Mark, so does Google. http://profiles.google.com/104560124403688998123

Recently returned to helm the Google that he co-founded, CEO Larry Page has amassed an impressive 124,103 followers. The web seems to like this guy as the conversations about Google have been very positive recently. Notably, Page posted to his Google Plus feed during Google's recent earning's announcement. http://profiles.google.com/106189723444098348646

With 87,348 followers, Google co-founder Sergei Brin is next in line. He's been dazzling his followers with all sorts of photos: skydiving, icebergs (oh wait, that was Larry) and even an Antonov cargo plane. But most of them seem to have been taken a while ago, so perhaps he's been busy. http://profiles.google.com/109813896768294978296

Senior VP of Social at Google Vic Gundotra has 57,189 followersto claim fourth position. But, given Vic's responsibilities, we think his follower numbers should be an aggregate of everyone else's. That would be one way to unseat Zuck from the top spot. http://profiles.google.com/107117483540235115863

Completely breaking the rules against profiles for ''Corporate Entities'', Mashable takes 5th position with 55,614 followers. What can you say? Well, Marshall Kirkpatrick over at ReadWriteWeb must have noticed this tomfoolery, because he asked his followers if he should create a profile for his ''Entity''. Marshall, this is the internet...just do it! Then, if they take it down, you'll have a conflict/censorship story on your hands. That stuff is GOLD. http://profiles.google.com/101849747879612982297

Ahhh, Scoble. Loved by internet geeks the world over, Scobelizer has amassed 54,937 followers. Always respectful of the noise he's able to generate with a single click, yesterday, Robert discovered tht there's a limit of 500 comments on a post. He found this out in a few minutes, whereas mere mortals would have to take a lifetime. The Plus is strong in this one. http://profiles.google.com/111091089527727420853

Radio host and noted crowd-surfer Leo Laporte is in 7th position with 54,628 followers. On his profile he says ''You may remember me from such TV shows as CNBC's The Personal Computer Show, MSNBC's The Site, ZDTV's The Screen Savers and Call for Help, and The Lab with Leo on Canada's G4techTV. '' Nope, sorry. But it seems lots of people do. Just goes to show that radio isn't dead. http://profiles.google.com/101261243957067319422

Digg CEO Kevin Rose is in 8th place with 50,143 followers, which, if our calculations are correct, is the same number of users that switch from Digg to Reddit every day. Kevin made waves when he announced that he had forwarded his blog to his Google Plus page and was seeing much better engagement. For example, in a good natured skirmish with TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington, Rose announced ''Arrington if you rollback your redesign I'll rollback to Digg v3'' referring to the oddly cubist new design of the TechCrunch site. What joy it is that Google Plus can evoke such passion. http://profiles.google.com/110318982509514011806

Breaking in to the top 10 is Actress Felicia Day with 45,511 followers. She calls herself a ''Writer'', which is soooo not LA. We're not sure if people are following her because of her role on Buffy or the Guild, but we're opting for the Guild since it's about a female gamer, and that's got to get the guys on Google Plus riled up. http://profiles.google.com/110286587261352351537

Rounding out the top 10 is YouTube video star Ray William Johnson with 45,373 followers. One-upping his Facebook and Twitter headlines that state ''I produce a few shows. I also eat unicorns.'', on Google Plus, Johnson describes himself as a ''clubber of baby seals''. Such wit we haven't seen since Dane Cook. http://profiles.google.com/107765155354887834405

Google Web Spam engineer Matt Cutts is in 11th spot with 40,921 followers, each of them hoping that he inadvertently divulges ranking secrets by sharing to the wrong circle. http://profiles.google.com/109412257237874861202

Most people are probably saying, ''Who is this person?'' Ahh, you see, it's ''Persson'' and he's got 37,756 followers. Aside from being able to endure Swedish winters, Markus is the guy behind Minecraft, or as we like to call it ''the game where you launch cows and build Enterprises and get talked about on Reddit. ALL THE TIME.'' Seriously, Minecraft is cool and Markus is bringing it home for the Swedes. http://profiles.google.com/116872576248355504859

Ahh Tom, everyone's former first friend and still near the top of the pyramid at the newest thing since __________. With 37,107 followers, Tom cheekily says ''I might be your friend'' in a comedic twist on the fact that he was always your friend on __________. But, Tom must be laughing all the way to the bank because it seems that he's now ''retired''. Cheers Tom! PS: Please buy a new shirt. http://profiles.google.com/112063946124358686266

In 14th position with 32,322 followers is Gina Trapani, a ''writer and open source coder'' based in San Diego. If you've ever wanted an easier way to do something and found the answer online, it very well could be because of Gina's Lifehacker blog, which she founded. It seems she's figured out a way to get herself some followers...we're waiting for the article: 10 Tricks To Get Followers on Google Plus. http://profiles.google.com/113612142759476883204

Google Plus product guy Bradley Horowitz finds himself in 15th position with 29,111 followers. Seriously, this is the guy behind the guy, behind the guy. Let's hope that Sergei and Larry remember that. That said, Bradley did come from Yahoo!, so he undoubtedly had years of unfulfilled product aspirations built up inside. It sort of makes us think that he's feeling like Andy Dufresne on the beach in Zihuatanejo at the end of Shawshank. http://profiles.google.com/113116318008017777871

The former Queen of Search and now Queen of Local, Maps and Location Services, Google's Marissa Mayer is in 16th place with 27,137 followers (still more than Arrington). Marissa is the person responsible for the awesome map that you're looking at, and could very well be the poster-girl for Women In Tech as well as the American Heartland. http://profiles.google.com/118207880179234484610

In a bid for the top spot at TechCrunch, blogger MG Seigler (25,827 followers) has several thousand more followers than his boss Michael Arrington. While Seigler claims privately that he's ''comin' up'' sources tell us that people just didn't take the Arrington profile seriously because his profile name wasn't capitalized, (e.g., jerry yang). Seigler also distanced himself from the latest TechCrunch redesign, blaming it on Arrington's supposed infatuation with MineCraft. http://profiles.google.com/107753428759636856492

Aiming to usurp Mashable News from it's ill-gotten position in the top 10 is Mashable's own Pete Cashmore with 23,675 followers. From his profile picture, it appears that Cashmore is not only seeking the Google Plus top 10, but also America's Next Top Model. He says he calls that look ''Traffique''. http://profiles.google.com/112844561713780016118

Who the hell is Jeff Jarvis? And what the heck is a guy from New Jersey doing on this list? Wikipedia says Jeff Jarvis is '' the former television critic for TV Guide and People magazine, creator of Entertainment Weekly, Sunday editor and associate publisher of the New York Daily News, and a columnist on the San Francisco Examiner, and guy with a talent for profile photos.'' He's in 19th place with 21,886 followers (more than Arrington) http://profiles.google.com/105076678694475690385

Notable book dealer, animal lover and phrase coiner Tim O'Reilly is number 20 with 21,840 followers. While often seen as a champion of openness, O'Reilly notes on his profile that his current interests are ''gov 2.0, sensors and collective intelligence applications based on them'' which sounds pretty Orwellian. Has he been fooling us all along? http://profiles.google.com/107033731246200681024

In 21st place with 21,635 followers is everyone's favorite blogger, Michael Arrington from AOL / TechCrunch. In May 2008 Time Magazine named Michael Arrington as one of the world’s 100 most influential graphic designers, known primarily for his cubist style that would not become popular until years later. http://profiles.google.com/102178700954286324866

Founder of Seesmic and the LeWeb conference Loic Le Meur is in 22nd position with 20,719 followers. Someone may want to tell Loic that over here in 'Merica, we just call it ''the web''. http://profiles.google.com/108082478497335384404

Television and internet video personality Sarah Lane finds herself in 23rd place with 20,476 followers. Known to friends as ''Momo'', ''Lane-Dogg'' or ''slane'', this Oregonian is currently part of the TWiT network, which may need some rebranding if this Google Plus thing goes the way we think it will. http://profiles.google.com/111538009015644508967

In position 24 with 19,450 followers is YouTube celebrity Philip DeFranco. As his Wikipedia page states, ''His videos are centered on current events, politics and celebrity gossip in which he gives his opinion, usually presented in an ironic manner and with frequent jump cuts to create a fast-paced feel.'' How refreshing. http://profiles.google.com/101222125576635425546

Rounding out the top 25 is blogger, author and entrepeneur Seth Godin with 17,879 followers. It seems that his PR crew is doing their job because as far as we can tell, Godin hasn't posted anything at all on Google Plus. http://profiles.google.com/106497949182730964838
