The Cobbled Corner, Longridge (8:46 am)
Rummbled 8/10 at The Cobbled Corner, Longridge http://rmb.ly/5Pzm This great little cafe was where we had Sunday Lunch. It is on a cycle route through the Forest of Bowland. No vodafone signal but free wi-fi so out came the laptop to upload my photos -

Stopped here for lunch before venturing up Langden Brook to look for Hen Harriers. Not successful but we did see a Rock Pipit http://ow.ly/1K1bI -

We stayed at Craigshall Cottage. This was our base for the second week. Craigshall was an eco cottage with solar water heating a wood burning stove and very effective insulation, and joy of joy free wifi.

Visited the WWT reserve.http://www.wwt.org.uk/caerlaverock Not much to see as this is mainly a winter wildfowl site. This poor Whooper Swan has been left behind to slum it with the Mute Swans at WWT Caerlaverock http://bit.ly/9fBMyR

Arrived back in Reading after driving all day from Auchencairn, Dumfries & Galloway. What a lovely day it's been. Day to collapse tomorrow - total distance: 669 miles (1.077 km)
