Day 1 Arrive in Paris anytime. Day 2 After an orientation walk you are free to explore on your own: discover the “je ne sais quoi” of the City of Lights by climbing the Eiffel Tower, marveling at the Montmartre district, or explore the outstanding museums and churches.

Day 3 Inside the city walls, Bruges closes in around you with street after street of historic houses and a canal always nearby. Sample the famous Belgian Chocolate and wash it down with one of the many varieties of Belgian beers.

Day 4-6 Amsterdam has something for every traveller's taste, whether you prefer art, culture and history, serious partying, or just the relaxing charm of an old European city. Day 6 is an overnight bus to Berlin.

Days 7-8 Berlin is best known for its lively nightlife, vibrant cafes, clubs and bars, street art, and numerous museums, palaces, and other sites of cultural interest. Take an orientation walk around the city's most famous landmarks: the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Charlottenburg Palace, Checkpoint Charlie and remains of the Berlin Wall that once divided East and West.

Days 9-10 Marvel at Krakow's royal castle perched high on Wawel Hill, overlooking one of the world's largest medieval squares. For a solemn reflection take a day trip to Oswiecim, the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

Day11-12 Cross the Charles Bridge, the oldest and most ornate bridge over the Vltava river and explore Hradcany, the castle of the Bohemian Kings. Take an optional tour of the famous Pilsner beer hall to taste some of the most famous beer in Europe!

Day 13 We travel to the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov in Southern Bohemia with its fairytale castle set above the river. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip through town or take a tour of the spectacular castle interior.

Days 14-15 This former home of the Hapsburg court still has the trappings of the imperial capital it once was, with St Stephen's church at the heart of the historical centre, encircled by grand buildings, gardens and museums.

Days 16-17 Savour Budapest, the Queen of the Danube, with her beautiful turrets and architechture. Let your Tour Leader help you find the yummiest local cuisine at Vaci Utca; when in Hungary, tasting a bowl of steaming goulash is a must!

Days 18-19 At the lakeside town of Bled, nestled in the snow-capped Alps of Slovenia, the time is yours to rent a bike, explore the lakeside on foot, or head up to the Castle high on a cliff above town.

Days 20-22 A scenic train ride takes us to Venice, one of the few cities in the world that can truly be described as unique. Embellished with monuments of rare splendour over the centuries, today Venice is a city like no other in the world. Take a gondola ride by night, get lost in the labyrinth of bridges and alleyways, sample some prosecco with a tasty (free!) apperativo in the hidden local bars and lose yourself in the magic and mystery of the City of Canals.

Days 23-24 Five little villages built into the rocks between the crystalline waters of the Ligurian Sea and the steep hillside. Hike through olive groves and vineyards, or swim, drink wine, and watch the incredible sunsets.

Days 25-26 After a stop for some pics of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we head to the Tuscan capital, birthplace of the Italian language and the Renaissance. Sample some of the country's finest gelato as you marvel at the awe-inspiring duomo - and don't miss the chance to see Michelangelo's David in his full glory!

Day 27 Jump on a train south to the bustling Italian capital, Rome. From its mysterious Catacombs to the imposing Colosseum and the Vatican, Rome truly exudes history.

Day 28 Arrivederci e buon viaggio! Depart Rome at any time.
